Just Write

Try putting your mind on Jesus,
Even when the devil wants to deceive us.

Insomnia is a miserable, indescribable feeling,
Need to ask God for strength and healing,
Tossing – turning – yawning – pacing; not able to focus,
Praying somebody, anybody bring some sleep to help me re-focus.
People take it for granted because they just fall asleep,
While others are awake begging for relief from being on their feet.
Watching the clock hands tick hour to hour,
Imagining myself as a beautiful flower.
Listening to the outside music letting it bring calmness over me,
Giving me opportunity to open the Bible and read Deuteronomy.
Suddenly a song I remember reminds me of how Jesus is the answer,
Restlessness as time flies by feels like a dreaded cancer.
Singing – listening – dancing; to countless CD’s,
Diagnosed with something bad called Sleep Apnea disease.
So when you’ve tried everything and all else has failed,
Sleep on the Lord’s Wisdom so you won’t spend eternity in hell.
