SOMSistahs was founded by Tracy Spence-Banks in 2005 as a women’s auxiliary group in hopes of showing the world that women can, in fact, establish and nurture healthy sisterly relationships contrary to what society airs on television; what we read in books and magazines; or even what we experience in our everyday lives at work, school or home.
In 2009, after self-publishing two books, Super Woman: A Guide to Tapping into your Divine Super Powers & Masonic Love, Tracy decided to transform it into an outreach organization which still allowed her to keep the message of Educating, Connecting, and Cultivating women from all walks of life, while helping others in the Riviera Beach communities. Since then, she has collaborated with the Young Byrd #298 Masonic Lodge providing outreach through Thanksgiving drives, Christmas toy give-a-ways, Easter Egg hunts for the residents of Monroe Heights and its 1st Annual Packed 4 Success School Supply give-a-way held in 2013 where the children in the community received over 200 backpacks and over 50 haircuts were given. They have also adopted the county road between Pres. Barack Obama Highway & Silver Beach Road in the city of Riviera Beach and hosts cleanup events quarterly which provides community service hours for high school seniors and adults.

Under the auspices of her organization, Tracy hosts a local devotional show on 107.1 WJFP FM radio, the House of SOMS, has taught a self-publishing course at a local vocational institute, and has spoken on behalf of SOMSistahs at Urban Youth Impact's Parenting Program. She also wrote a personal testimony and recorded a short video clip testimony for Women At Rest Ministries and speaks for their monthly women’s study. As a self-published author, her passion for the written word has led her to serve as the Historian of the City of Riviera Beach’s Library Advisory Board.

In her so-called spare time, she's wife to "Mr. Banks" as she refers to him on her radio show, and mother to her three adorable children: Maria, Maya & Matthew, as well as her beloved Maltese-mix, Jeri.
