Merriam-Webster's definition - 2: to carry into action deliberately
There were several meanings listed for the word "committed", but what was so surprising is that most of them were of a negative origin. They ranged from "committed crimes" to "commit to an asylum". I know sometimes life makes us feel as if we are losing it and perhaps should be committed, however, as women that have pledged to sow positive seeds instead of negative ones, I think the word "committed" fits more in tune with the above definition, "to carry into action
deliberately".
I purposely drew attention to the word deliberately because when we are deliberate...we are intentional and we mean to do what we set out to do. We have to be fervently committed to our dreams. If we don't dig in our heels (yes...wedges, stilettos and those crazy-shaped ones too :) who will? If we don't believe in ourselves and put forth a pro-active effort, who will? If we aren't committed to seeing our goals and aspirations come to fruition, who will?
So, for day one my positive seed, I've sown a seed of being COMMITTED. Committed to finishing the race set before me. Committed to encouraging you to stick with the journaling process. Committed to bringing SOMSistahs to all corners of the globe and into the hearts of all women. Committed to walk the path God has set before me. Committed to my Sistahs to Encourage, Motivate & Inspire them to reach their full potential.
Peace & Blessings,
Tracy
